Giada Calvano

Introduction
Giada is co-founder of Chloe Sustainability, a consulting company supporting the organizations of the cultural sector willing to start or continue their journey towards sustainability and circular economy. She is also Senior Environmental Assessor for events at A Greener Future (UK) and member of STAGE - the Spanish collective for sustainable events' professionals. Giada has a 10 years’ experience in lecturing at several universities and institutions (University of Barcelona, Inland University, Ostelea, CETT, IED, ESMUC, etc.) on the topics of festival management, sustainable events, cultural management and EU funding for culture. She is also Ph.D. Candidate at the Cultural Management Programme of the University of Barcelona, with a thesis on the sustainability praxis of European music festivals from an organizers’ perspective. She has been previously a researcher for several EU-funded projects, such as EULAC Focus (Horizon2020), Be SpectACTive! (Creative Europe), MESOC (Horizon2020) and Stronger Peripheries (Creative Europe). She coordinated the blended version of the Postgraduate degree in Management and Production of Festivals and Performing Arts at the University of Barcelona and was Head of Research at the Observatory for Performing Arts of the Emilia-Romagna Region (Italy).
