Irene Bianchi

Introduction
Irene Bianchi, PhD in Urban Planning, Design and Policy, is Assistant Professor in Urban Planning at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, Politecnico di Milano. She carried out research activities at Politecnico di Milano; University IUAV of Venice; Berlin Technical University; King's College London. Her main research interest lies at the intersection between collective decision-making and (urban) sustainability transition, with a focus on the interface between niches of experimentation and policy-making processes. Irene is a member of the Executive Board of URNet – Urban Resilience Research Network and part of the BIARI Alumni Network (Brown University). Also, she is part of the CALL - Cities in Action for Learning Lab. She has been part of research groups at Italian and European Universities, working on national and international research projects mainly focusing on innovation in urban and environmental policymaking. Currently, she is part of the Coordination Team of the Horizon Europe Project PALIMPSEST - Creative Drivers for Sustainable Living Heritage Landscapes.
