Institute of Sensing and Navigation

The Institute of Sensing and Navigation consists of two parts: Shanghai University Key Laboratory of Intelligent Sensing and Recognition, and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Navigation and Location-Based Services. The institute aims on solving fundamental theories and core technical problems in the areas of radar detection, microwave remote sensing, as well as navigation and localization services. It also dedicates to explore novel concepts, methodologies and techniques of the aforementioned regimes. The institute runs with over 50 faculty members and more than 100 graduate students. During recent years, it undertook more than 30 national and provincial research projects including 973, 863 projects and NSFC projects, published more than 200 papers and 100 patents, and produced multiple prototypes and systems.
