"Bringing Chinese Enterprises Abroad" represents both a historical mission entrusted to China as a major power and a strategic path for Chinese enterprises to refine themselves and enter global markets. As a key hub along the Silk Road Economic Belt, Pakistan plays a critical role with its strategic geographic location, serving as a primary gateway for Chinese enterprises expanding internationally.
To support Chinese enterprises in expanding abroad with greater professionalism and impact, the project focused on infrastructure initiatives led by Chinese stakeholders. Special attention was given to projects under the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, involving collaboration with international organizations, governments, and universities. Targeting major infrastructure projects already underway in Belt and Road countries, the team carried out field investigations to understand project conditions and uncover practical challenges. In collaboration with domestic universities and relevant institutions, the project developed scientific and technical groundwork, proposed targeted solutions based on field findings, and aimed to apply those outcomes to future engineering projects through multiple implementation pathways.
At the invitation of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, the project’s key findings were forwarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to relevant government departments. Policy briefs were submitted to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. These included insights on the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, its impact on Eastern countries, opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese enterprises, and practical recommendations drawn from the CPEC construction experience.
