This project is an international cooperative learning project (COIL) jointly conducted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and the University of Hong Kong, with a core topic of how AI technology can empower medical technology and medical humanities education, with a particular focus on the role of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary cooperation in promoting medical students' understanding of the relationship between medical technology, medical humanities and human health in the AI era.
The course covers the development of AI technology and its application in the field of healthcare, including the history of medical technology, digital therapeutics, visual digital therapeutics, the practical application, and existing problems of AI in disease diagnosis and personalized treatment, and delves into the ethical issues and challenges raised by AI technology. The course will be taught in theory, case studies, group discussions, and online and offline integration. Students can not only broaden their international horizons, participate in practical project research and academic exchanges, but also devote themselves to social practice activities to improve their comprehensive quality and international competitiveness in an all-round way.
