These innovations have not only greatly enriched people's communication methods and broadened the channels of information access, but also brought many challenges and opportunities to the established legal system. In the face of this series of legal and ethical dilemmas arising from technological advances, courts, policymakers and law enforcement officials around the world are actively seeking solutions in order to promote the healthy development of technology while maintaining social order.
This course aims to explore in depth the far-reaching impact of the Internet on law and ethics in different dimensions and a wide range of areas, covering core topics such as the protection and infringement of intellectual property rights, the exploration of the boundaries of cyber morality and ethics, the safeguarding of personal privacy, and the protection of consumers' rights and interests in online transactions. In addition, the course will analyze the latest legal practices and theoretical explorations of platform regulation and sharing economy regulation in China, the United States, Europe and other regions from the perspective of comparative law, providing students with an international perspective and cutting-edge academic dynamics.
