The Laboratory relies on three first-level disciplines including Communication and Information Engineering, Electronic Science and technology and Physics, combines with subjects like Computer Science, Medical, etc. The reasonable knowledge structure contributes to the construction of the major projects and cross-disciplinary research. There are 57 researchers in the lab, including 33 professors, 17 associate professors, and 7 lecturers.
There is one double-employed academician. Three of them have achieved Outstanding Youth Fund and one person is from “Thousand Talents program”. There are 2 Chang Jiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education, two 973 Program Chief Scientists, two 863 Expert/overall Team Leaders, two are Selected by National New Century Talent Project, and ten New Century Talents Scheme. 84% of the permanent staffs are with doctoral qualifications. 68% of staffs are younger than 45 years old.
