Opening Ceremony
Tomorrow (August 27) at 9:00 AM
The 2025 Undergraduate Opening Ceremony will be held at the Fok Ying Tung Sports Center. Join us as we witness this milestone moment for the Class of 2025.

Arrival Services and Support
To ensure a safe and convenient check-in:
- The Security Office has mapped arrival routes for new students, set up staffed guidance posts at key intersections, and opened joint police–university service stations—providing end-to-end wayfinding from the gate to the residence halls.
- The Logistics Support Center has rolled out a suite of services, including a 24/7 campus clinic staffed by medical professionals, extended hours at dining counters, a rest area for parents, a shuttle linking the metro and residence halls, and volunteers on site to guide arrivals.
Volunteer Support
Nearly 2,000 volunteers are on duty—rain or shine—at metro stations, residence areas, and more than 50 key locations. They will provide directions, answer questions, and help with luggage to ensure a smooth check-in for students and families.
School and Department Welcome Activities
At each welcome station, schools and departments have planned a plethora of activities. Upper-class mentors are on site, with banners and warm greetings that will help new students feel right at home.

- Welcome kit for the 2025 cohort: Designed by upper-class students and filled with SJTU-branded items to help you feel at home from day one.
- Upgraded “one-stop” student community: Refreshed to welcome the new class, with tailored improvements in the living areas to meet students’ diverse needs and ensure a comfortable stay.
- Student Center improvements: Following multiple rounds of improvements, the Student Center brings together services, academic discussion, counseling, student activities, fitness, and recreation, creating a more efficient, student-centered space for growth and development.
- Personal bilingual AI Academic Advisor (Chinese–English): Offers 24/7 guidance on academic planning and development, along with study support to help students reach their goals.
- Growth programs: The “Zhuli” Learning Camp, the New Student Leaders Training Camp, and the upcoming military training together form a multi-level, multi-format system that lays a strong foundation for the incoming class.
