Guest Biography:
Zhang Guobin is a senior diplomat who has served in various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the African Department, General Office, Protocol Department, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, and Consular Department. He has spent 8 years stationed in Africa and 11 years stationed in France, and has visited over 140 countries. As a protocol officer, he has accompanied national leaders on visits to more than 30 countries. He has previously served as the Deputy Director of the Management Bureau of Diaoyutai State Guesthouse and the first Consul General of China in Saint-Denis, Reunion Island, France from 2009 to 2012. From March 2012 to February 2015, he served as the Consul General of China in Strasbourg, France. Currently, he is a Senior Researcher at the Chahar Institute, Senior Advisor of the Chinese Committee of Protocol and Etiquette Culture, Executive Director of the China Society for Human Rights Studies, Council Member of the Chinese Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation, and a visiting professor at renowned universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Anhui University. He is also a part-time professor at Southwest University of Political Science and Law.
