User Guide for the Alumni Version of "My SJTU"

The Alumni Version of "My SJTU" Is Now Available! 

The SJTU Alumni Association Office, in collaboration with the University’s Information Technology Center, has launched a dedicated service platform for alumni. 

Simply download the My SJTU app or log in via PC to access the full range of features. 

Your jAccount serves as your lifelong alumni account.

Exclusive Features for Alumni 

1. Campus Access Verification

Alumni can enter campus by scanning the “Siyuan Code” within the My SJTU app at gate turnstiles. (Note: The Siyuan Code for alumni does not support payment functions. When activating the code, please ensure the “Online Payment Service Agreement” is not selected.) 

2. Guest Entry Registration

Alumni may invite friends or family to visit campus. After submitting guest information via My SJTU, visitors can enter with their ID card or “Suishenma” (Shanghai QR Code).

3. Participate in Alumni Events

A wide range of alumni events organized by schools, regional chapters, and industry associations await your participation.

4. Support Alma Mater Development

Browse a range of donation programs and contribute to the continued growth of your alma mater.

5. Connect with Alumni Organizations

View contact details of alumni associations by region, industry, or academic department.

6. Update Personal Information

Ensure your contact details, employment history, and other information are up to date to stay connected with SJTU.

Alumni can register for a jAccount and log in to the alumni version of My SJTU to access all exclusive features. 

jAccount Registration Guidelines

1. If You Already Have a jAccount

Alumni who obtained a jAccount during their time at SJTU do not need to apply again. Those who applied for a jAccount after graduation also do not need to re-register. You may log in to My SJTU directly using your existing jAccount to access all alumni-exclusive features.

2. If You Do Not Have a jAccount

Alumni who have not yet registered for a jAccount can apply online via the designated link. Online self-service registration is supported. If self-registration is unsuccessful, manual verification by your academic school will be required. This involves submitting valid personal identification and academic records. The verification process takes up to seven working days (excluding winter and summer vacations). Once approved, you may proceed to complete your jAccount registration. 

Steps for Self-Service jAccount Registration 

 

I. Open the link: https://alumniregister.sjtu.edu.cn and enter your full name and ID information.

II. For self-service registration, select "Facial Recognition" to verify your identity. If successful, you can proceed to the next step. If not, you will need to switch to the manual verification process. 

III. Once facial recognition is completed successfully, fill in your jAccount information (username, password, and linked mobile number). After submission, you can immediately start using the alumni version of the My SJTU app. 

Steps for Manual Verification

 

 I. Open the link: https://alumniregister.sjtu.edu.cn and enter your full name and ID information.

II. Provide your personal details such as contact information (mobile number, email), academic records (school/faculty, year of enrollment/graduation, major, degree), and upload your ID photo and proof of enrollment/graduation. The submitted materials will be reviewed by your department staff. It will take about 7 working days.

III. After approval by the department, fill in your Account details (username, password, linked mobile number). Once submitted, you may access the alumni version of the "My SJTU" app.

3. Forgot jAccount Username & Password

Alumni can retrieve their jAccount username or login password by clicking “Forgot Password” in the “交我办” app. They can recover their details through their bound email or phone number. If all contact details have changed, please follow the link to submit an application. After entering your name and identification details, you can apply to change your email or phone number. You will be notified via email or SMS once the application is approved.

Management Guidelines 

1. Alumni jAccount follows a real-name system and is only for the alumni’s personal use. It may not be lent to others. If this is found, the account access will be revoked, and re-application will not be allowed.

2. Alumni cannot use the “Friends and Family Campus Access” feature to bring non-related persons onto campus. If found, the account access will be restricted. 

Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A) 

Q: Can I apply for an alumni jAccount?
A: Graduates who have received degree education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University are eligible to apply.

Q: What materials are required to apply for an alumni jAccount?
A: Since alumni jAccount is a real-name system, face recognition or document submission is required for verification. If entering the manual verification process, alumni must also provide additional student information to speed up the certification process.

Q: Do I already have a jAccount? Do I need to apply again?
A: If you are unsure whether you have a jAccount, you can visit the jAccount registration page and fill in your personal information. If the system indicates an existing account, you do not need to apply again and can log in with your current account.

Q: Can I change my username after registering for jAccount?
A: Please choose your username carefully when applying for a jAccount. Once the application is successful, the username cannot be changed.

Q: What should I do if I forget my jAccount username or password?
A: Alumni can retrieve their jAccount username or login password by clicking “Forgot Password” in the “My SJTU” app to recover their details via the bound email or phone number.

Q: What if I can’t recover my username and password due to a change in contact information?
A: If the email or phone number bound to your jAccount is no longer in use and you cannot recover your username or password through these methods, please follow the link to apply for changes to your email or phone number. After entering your name and identification details, you can submit the application. Once approved, you will be notified via email or SMS.

Q: How can I apply for the “Siyuan Code”?
A: In the new version of the “My SJTU” app, log in and click “Siyuan Code” to activate it. Click “Only Activate Identity Code” to successfully obtain it. In the old version of the “My SJTU” app, click “SJTU V Card” to update “My SJTU” and then click “Only Activate Identity Code” to successfully apply.

Q: I successfully registered for jAccount, but still can’t log in to the “My SJTU” app. What should I do?
A: Please ensure that you have received the SMS or email notification confirming your account registration. If you have not received the certification notice, please be patient. If you have received the registration notification but still cannot log in, please wait for five minutes after receiving the SMS notification and try again. 

Q: Can I access the library and use the seat reservation feature?
A: Alumni can access the library with the Siyuan Code, but the seat reservation function is not available at the moment.
