Why “Jiao◦Tong Global Virtual Classroom”?

The Jiao◦Tong Global Virtual Classroom (Jiao◦Tong GVC) Initiative encourages Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) faculty to establish collaborative online courses with partner universities across the globe. SJTU and their international partners jointly build or share undergraduate/postgraduate-level courses delivered synchronously or asynchronously. As virtual exchanges allow for convenient and valuable international experiences, Jiao◦Tong GVC will provide students with opportunities to gain global perspectives, enhance cross-cultural competence, and deepen their understanding of the subject. This initiative also encourages universities to share quality teaching resources and enable students from different countries to exchange ideas and get inspired by one another in the global virtual classroom.
