On June 4th, the 23rd Joint Management Committee Meeting of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University-ParisTech Elite Institute of Technology was held in a hybrid format, both online and offline, in Shanghai and Paris.

President Elisabeth CREPON of ENSTA Paris, Vice President Christopher CRIPPS of École Polytechnique, President Ding Kuiling of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), and French Dean Frédéric TOUMAZET of the SJTU-ParisTech Elite Institute of Technology attended the meeting in Paris. Executive Vice President Xi Lifeng, Vice President Zhang Zhaoguo of SJTU, Chinese Dean Zhang Wenming, Party Secretary Chen Cailian, Deputy Deans Lu Jialiang and Zhong Shengyi, and Deputy Party Secretary Yao Xue attended the meeting in Shanghai. Vice President Liu Weidong of SJTU, Rémi PAUL, General Representative and CEO of Safran China, and Gu Jianmin, Chief Technology Officer of Valeo Group, participated via video conference. The meeting was co-hosted by President Ding Kuiling and President Elisabeth CREPON.
The meeting introduced the participants from both sides and welcomed Liu Weidong as a new member of the Joint Management Committee. Reports on the institute’s activities were presented, including detailed introductions on student admissions, graduate employment, faculty development, budget execution, tuition adjustment plans, the institute’s globalization strategy, and feedback from CTI onsite certification. Discussions were held on the work of the university-enterprise and international Franco-Chinese joint working groups, and the 2024 budget of the institute was approved. Finally, both parties expressed their heartfelt thanks to the outgoing French Dean, Frédéric TOUMAZET.
Ding Kuiling and Elisabeth CREPON delivered closing remarks. Ding Kuiling affirmed the stable progress of the institute's various tasks and stated that SJTU would continue to support the institute's development in terms of admissions and other human and material resources. He expressed hope that the institute would achieve greater progress in the year marking the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations. Elisabeth CREPON thanked Shanghai Jiao Tong University for its continuous support, acknowledged the institute's accomplishments, and looked forward to attending the next Joint Management Committee meeting in Shanghai in November to witness a new chapter of cooperation between the two sides.
After the meeting, Ding Kuiling had a friendly exchange with some of the students from the institute in France.
