University leaders met with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of New South Wales and his delegation

On the afternoon of 23 April, Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), met with Attila Brungs, President of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Colin Grant, Vice President of UNSW and his entourage on the Minhang Campus. SJTU Vice President Liu Weidong accompanied the meeting.1.jpg

Yang Zhenbin expressed his warm welcome to Attila Brungs and his delegation and briefly introduced the development strategy and discipline construction of the university. Yang Zhenbin said that with the changes in the international situation and the development of science and technology, SJTU has been conducting in-depth research on the development direction of academic disciplines according to the needs of economic and social development, and has been carrying out reforms and innovations. The University of New South Wales is an important strategic partner of SJTU, and expects both sides to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and work together to build a better future.

Attila Brungs said that SJTU is the most important partner of the University of New South Wales in China, and hoped that on the basis of the solid cooperation between the two sides, the two sides will further strengthen the cooperation in the future in the fields of energy, engineering, psychology and other disciplines.

Witnessed by Attila Brungs and Yang Zhenbin, Colin Grant and Liu Weidong, on behalf of both parties, renewed the Seed Fund Co-operation Agreement between the two universities. The two universities first signed the seed fund co-operation agreement in 2015, and so far 47 projects have been successfully established, covering a wide range of disciplines.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park of Big Zero Bay.

 Heads of the school's International Cooperation and Exchanges Division, the special office of Bay Zero, Michigan College, College of Aeronautics and Astronautics and other relevant units attended the event.
