On 1 March, the signing ceremony of SJTU-Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) cooperation was held in the Library and Information Building of Minhang Campus. SJTU President Ding Kui Ling, Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) Party Secretary Wu Yantao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President (Dean) Duan Peiyong, and heads of relevant departments of the two sides attended the event. The meeting was presided over by Zhu Xinyuan, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of SJTU.
Ding Quiling welcomed the arrival of Wu Yantao and his party. He said he hoped to further deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the future, sustained cooperation to improve the quality of talent training and scientific and technological innovation on both sides, and constantly improve the ability of universities to serve the community, and solidly promote the effectiveness of all cooperation work, and hand in hand to contribute to the construction of a strong educational country, and to do a good job of education to the satisfaction of the people.
Wu Yantao expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Jiaotong University for its strong support for the development of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). He said he hoped to work together with Shanghai Jiaotong University, mutual support, and continue to promote the two sides of the discipline co-construction, talent co-parenting, scientific research co-creation, resource sharing, to seize the new opportunities for the development of science and education convergence, to deepen the new model of industry-university-research collaborative education, to create a new high point of the cooperation between the counterparts.
Duan Peiyong, as an alumnus of Jiaotong University, thanked his alma mater for its support and concern, and said that the next step Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Provincial Academy of Sciences) will do a good job of coordinating the work of the two sides to promote the cooperation between the two sides as soon as possible to bear fruit.
According to the unified deployment of the Ministry of Education, in order to promote Shandong to accelerate the construction of high-quality higher education system, Zhu Xinyuan and Duan Peiyong on behalf of the two sides at the meeting signed the "Shanghai Jiao Tong University counterpart of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Provincial Academy of Sciences) co-operation agreement", Ding Kui Ling and Wu Yantao to see the signature. According to the agreement, the two sides will be in accordance with the principle of "output-oriented, highlighting the key points, focusing on practical results", focusing on disciplines and degree points, personnel training, faculty, cadres and management team, international exchanges and cooperation, social services, innovation and cooperation mechanism, to build a long-term, stable and comprehensive cooperative relationship.
