Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was founded in Shanghai, China, in 1896, with the goal of cultivating talented professionals for the nation. After 128 years of unremitting efforts, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has become a domestic first-class and internationally renowned university, and further defined the vision on constructing a “comprehensive, innovative and international” world-class university.

 

Semester Exchange Program 

 

The Semester Exchange Program attracts students from our partner universities who wish to study at SJTU for one or two semesters. To be an exchange student, candidates must be officially nominated by their home university.

Program coordinator from partner universities will nominate students in the nomination system. Nominees will receive an application link through which they can complete the online applications.

Research Topic Based Visting Student Program 

 

The SJTU Research Topic Based Visiting Student Program helps professors host international students from overseas universities for short-term research internships. The program is aimed at international students currently enrolled in overseas institutions.

 

 

Scholarship

 

  • Chinese Government Scholarship

Students applying for CSC Scholarship（Chinese Government Scholarship）should directly contact the local Chinese Embassy or Consulate. For specific application periods and requirements, please refer to the information published by the local Chinese embassy or consulate. The scholarship content is subject to the website of China Scholarship Council. As for accommodation, SJTU does not provide free dormitory, but provides accommodation subsidy (1,200 RMB/ Month for General scholars，1,500RMB/Month for Senior scholars). For Application Guide for Chinese Government Scholarship you can click HERE.
