Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was founded in Shanghai, China, in 1896, with the goal of cultivating talented professionals for the nation. After 129 years of unremitting efforts, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has become a domestic first-class and internationally renowned university, and further defined the vision on constructing a “comprehensive, innovative and international” world-class university.

Semester Exchange Program 

The Semester Exchange Program attracts students from our partner universities who wish to study at SJTU for one or two semesters. To be an exchange student, candidates must be officially nominated by their home university.

Program coordinator from partner universities will nominate students in the nomination system. Nominees will receive an application link through which they can complete the online applications.

In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the international exchanges and cooperation of young talents, China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China.
