Shanghai institute of thoracic tumors, Shanghai chest hospital , Shanghai Jiaotong University, focuses on the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic targets of various types of thoracic tumors, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and mediastinal tumors. The institute possesses an animal platform, a cell platform, a fluorescent quantitative PCR platform, a molecular protein technology platform, an immune platform, a flow cell platform, a research pathology platform, and a laser confocal platform, and a biological sample library containing more than 60,000 samples.The institute has undertaken research work on major national, ministerial, municipal, and bureau level topics such as the National Eleventh Five-Year Plan and the 863 Key Research Project, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Shanghai Mountaineering Program.
