The lab/department has concentrated on the clinical problems of glomerulonephritis prevention and treatment for decades. Through building up the clinical cohorts and biobank, applying next-generation sequencing, GWAS, epigenetics and trans-genetic animal models, the lab mainly studies the glomerulonephritis and hereditary kidney disease, focusing on the localization and identification of disease-causing/related genes and their exact pathogenic mechanism. With the support of key scientific research foundations, the lab aims to publish a number of high-quality original papers, to transfer several important basic researching achievements to clinical practice, as well as to educate a reasonable team of high level physician scientists competent in Kidney disease diagnosis, treatment and research.
