Laboratory of Biomedical Manufacturing and Life Quality Engineering

Laboratory of Biomedical Manufacturing and Life Quality Engineering, established in 1983, aims at advancing the critical and core technologies in the digital medicine and medical robotics to gain a better understanding of the human body and the technologies and to design better therapeutic devices and tools. As a member laboratory of State Key Laboratory of Mechanical System and Vibration, and Engineering Research Center of Digital Medicine and Clinical Translation, Ministry of Education (ERCDMCT), the Laboratory owns a medical imaging and robotics research group including 3 professors, 5 associate professors, 2 lecturers and 2 engineering laboratory staffs, and takes up more than 490 square meters for scientific research and experiment.

This lab is involved in research in orthopedics medical robotics, computer-aided surgical imaging process, medical 3D printing and musculoskeletal biomechanics.Remarkable achievements have been achieved in a series of academic research, discipline construction and international exchanges and cooperation in recent years. The laboratory research group has won the second prize of National Science and technology, first prize of Wu Wenjun award, first prize of artificial intelligence science and technology progress award, first prize of Shanghai science and technology progress, second prize of Shanghai science and technology progress award 3 times and other 6 provincial and ministerial level awards at home and abroad. The laboratory maintains a cooperation project research and personnel training relationship with dozens of well-known colleges and universities, and maintains the long-term research cooperation relationship with many international well-known enterprises.
