Laboratory of Fuel Cells was founded in 1998, which was the first academic institution focusing on fuel cell research in colleges of China. Presently, the laboratory has made great achievements in the field of electrochemical energy system, including proton exchange membrane fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells, direct alcohol fuel cells, lithium ion batteries, lithium-air batteries, all-vanadium redox flow batteries, and etc. The lab has established long-term cooperation with well-known academic institutions and enterprises, such as University of Illinois, SAIC Motor and Toyota.
