PMML is carrying out fundamental research to enable the measurement and compensation of manufacturing errors in precision manufacturing, including the measurement, modeling, and compensation of geometric and thermally-induced errors in CNC machine tools, in-situ dimensional metrology, evaluation of measurement accuracy and uncertainty. The lab is well equipped with access to several precision CNC machine tools, a coordinate measuring machine, high precision encoders, laser interferometers, contact and non-contact measurement instruments. PMML has established collaboration with renowned universities including the University of Nottingham, Huddersfield University and Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Saint Etienne (ENISE).
