The laboratory has been focusing on the topics of network defense, information content security, control system security, connected vehicle security, IoT security, video passive forensics technology, video steganography technology, video content intelligent monitoring technology, natural language processing, etc., which combines the achievements of education, academic and industry. The laboratory has completed over 300 important government and enterprise research projects including the State Information Security Application Demonstration Project (S219), National Key Technology R&D Programs，National Basic Research Programs (973 Programs), National High Technology R&D Programs of China (863 Programs), Programs supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Defense Pre-Research Foundation of China.
The laboratory was awarded the first prize for scientific and technological of China, four first-class prizes, seven second-class prizes and one third-class prize for scientific and technological progress at provincial and ministerial levels, the first prize for scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Education, the second prize for scientific and technological progress of Shanghai and the third prize for decision-making and consultation achievements of Shanghai. He has published more than 100 high-level papers and authorized over 100 national invention patents.
