The Experimental Center for Civil Engineering (ECCE) has 7 full-time experimental members, among whom five members have long-term study abroad experience and three members obtained Doctor or Master degree in overseas university. ECCE is working for teaching and reaches in the field of civil engineering. In addition, ECCE has a comprehensive capacity to develop new technique and to provide technical services for the society. At present, the building area of ECCE is 3,000 m2, shared by Engineering Structure Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Civil Engineering Material Lab, Engineering Survey Lab and Disaster Prevention Lab etc. The advanced apparatus in ECCE consist of RMT Experimental System for Rock Mechanics, GDS Experimental System for Soil Mechanics, Dynamic Triaxial Compression Apparatus, Consolidation Apparatus with High Pressure, Large Reaction Wall for Structural Experiment, MTS Pseudo-dynamic Experiment System, Shaking-Table for Earthquake Simulation and Centrifugal Model Test System etc.
