The Space Structures Research Center(SSRC) was founded on April 20th, 1999, which subordinates in The School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering(NAOCE), Shanghai JIAOTONG University. SSRC mainly engages in the research and education of long-span spatial structures and steel structures, the mainly research work in SSRC includes steel structures and long-span spatial structures, wind engineering and fluid-structure interaction, structural vibration control.

SSRC has completed over 50 basic research projects granted by National Natural Science Funds and other government ministry. On the basis of the research works, SSRC achieves 5 provincial Science and Technology Award. What’s more, SSRC participates the design and calculation of major national construction projects, such as, the second phase project of Beijing Capital International Airport and the International Stadium of the Beijing Olympics. SSRC published more than 300 papers in the domestic and foreign vital periodical journals and published over 100 conference papers in related engineering field.
