To promote in-depth cooperation in talent cultivation and academic exchanges between Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the University of Chicago (UChicago), the International Affairs Division has launched a one-way academic exchange fund as a way to encourage faculty members to participate in the joint application for The Provost's Global Faculty Awards (PGFAs) by UChicago.

The Provost's Global Faculty Awards (PGFAs) 项目每年提供最高3万美元的资助，用于支持芝加哥大学在全球主要地区开展国际合作，致力于深化芝大研究人员与全球机构间的科研合作。该项目面向芝加哥大学所有学院、部门、学科领域的所有教授及学术职务员工开放申请。
The Provost's Global Faculty Awards (PGFAs) provide annual cost-reimbursable awards of up to USD $30,000 to support international faculty activities with a collaborative element in key regions where the University of Chicago has strong engagement. The Awards are open to all UChicago faculty and other academic appointees from all schools, divisions, and fields of discipline. This program aims to activate and amplify relationships and research collaborations between individual researchers and institutions around the world.

为鼓励我校教师参与申报芝加哥大学PGFAs项目，我校设立面向芝加哥大学的单向学术交流基金，同步征集双边合作项目。我校将单方组织评审，并为申请成功的交大老师提供经费支持（5万人民币/项目）。
A one-way academic exchange fund has been launched as a way to encourage faculty members to participate in the joint application for The Provost's Global Faculty Awards (PGFAs) of UChicago, calling for joint proposals. SJTU will evaluate joint proposals unilaterally and provide financial support (50,000 RMB/project) to successful applicants from SJTU.

1. 按芝大要求，登录https://global.uchicago.edu/pgfa点击报名链接进行申请。申请书提交人需为芝大员工。
2. 按交大要求，在申报截止时间前以邮件形式提交申请材料至国际合作与交流处（王艺璇, wyx123@sjtu.edu.cn）。申请书提交人需为我校员工。
1．As required by UChicago, log onto https://global.uchicago.edu/pgfa to complete the application process. The submitting PI must be from UChicago.
2．As required by SJTU, submit application materials via email before the deadline (to Ms. Wang Yixuan, wyx123@sjtu.edu.cn). The submitting co-PI must be from SJTU.
