Translation Medicine Center is the main body of scientific research in Shanghai General hospital. It is mainly committed to the application of medical cutting-edge basic research results in clinical translation research. The clinical translation research institute was established in January 2015 and January 2016. Its main body is located in Songjiang campus of Shanghai General hospital, with an existing building area of about 8000 square meters. The hospital has invested more than 80 million yuan in infrastructure construction, and now it has built basic platforms such as molecular biology, cell biology, intestinal microbiology, histomorphology, biological sample bank, experimental animals, etc., which can carry out translation medical research of common human diseases.
