According to the "4+4" programme signed between six Chinese universities (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Beijing Jiaotong University) and five French universities (Ecole Centrale Paris, Ecole Centrale Lyon, Ecole Centrale Nantes, Ecole Centrale Lille, Ecole Centrale Marseille), a group of outstanding second year students from the above six Chinese universities will be selected to go to the five French universities in July of the following year. Under the "4+4" programme, a group of outstanding second-year undergraduate students from the above six Chinese universities are selected to study in the five French universities in July of the following year.
